GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Menus

Our chef and special events coordinator are at your service to help you create a menu suited to your individual tastes, so please feel free to make special requests.

Guaranteed Number of Guests

The Dining Room may accommodate up to 100 people.  A minimum of 80 people is required to close the dining room to other patrons.  Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate groups of between 45 to 80 people on a Friday or Saturday night, although a small wedding of fewer than 44 is certainly welcome.

Deposit – Payment

A deposit of $2,000.00 is required in order to confirm your date in the Willow Place Dining Room.  This amount in turn will be applied to the final bill.  The final bill must be paid by cash or credit card at the end of the evening if you are not staying the night, or the following morning if you are.  A pre-authorization will be taken 48 hours in advance of your date for the estimated amount of the bill.

Cancellation Policy

The deposit will not be refunded in the event of a cancellation with less than 120 days notice.

Florists and Decorations

We will be happy to suggest local florists to assist you on your special day, as well as suggestions for decorating, however it is up to the client to take care of these special details.  Please no confetti…..

Music

Please consider that this is an Inn as well.  If music will be part of your event, you or your guests must book all of the rooms in the Inn.  There are an additional five rooms available across the street at our Anchorage House should you need them.

Rooms

Co-ordinating room reservations must be provided through our front desk.  Please note that the Bride and Groom receive a complimentary room the evening of their special day, should they book the entire Dining Room for their event.

Prices

Food and beverage prices are subject to an 18% service charge and the goods and services tax (GST) of 6% as well as the provincial sales tax (PST) of 7.5%.  We will honour all prices confirmed on contracts signed by the organizer.

Cake Cutting

There is a cake cutting and decoration charge of $1.50 per plate for those who chose to bring their own wedding cake.  Should you choose to order your dessert from us in the form of individual slices of cake, then the normal 18% service charge for serving applies.

Tents

We are sorry but large tents are not permitted on the premises.

Ceremonies

The ceremony may be performed on the premises weather permitting.  The lower level of the lawn is available for ceremonies after 5:00 pm.  The client should understand that, in case of inclement weather, the ceremony must take place in the Dining Room, standing room only, as the tables will already be set for the dinner reception.  Canapes are generally served outside during the cocktail hour, inside in the case of inclement weather.   Due to the distance between the Inn and the lower lawn, only a limited cocktail service can be provided, such as champagne, or beer and wine, but soft drinks and juices may also be provided.  Please be advised that the three terrace levels will be open to other patrons,  even though there is a wedding ceremony in progress.

Equipment

We do not provide chairs or a trellis for the ceremony.  It is up to the client to provide these items.  Equipment of any kind must be off the property within 24 hours and The Willow Place Inn is not responsible for any lost or stolen equipment.
